About Manhasset

Manhasset’s story began when inventor and musician Otto Lagervall set out to create a music stand that was stronger, simpler to use and more dependable than the designs available at the time.

Working in Manhasset, New York, Otto developed the original Manhasset stand with a clear purpose: to combine thoughtful design, quality materials and skilled workmanship in a product musicians could rely on for years.

In the early 1940s, the company moved to Yakima, Washington, where Manhasset remains based today. More than nine decades later, those same principles continue to shape every stand we make.

For more than 90 years, Manhasset stands have supported musicians in schools, rehearsal rooms, theatres and concert halls around the world.

Their distinctive design has become a familiar sight wherever music is taught, rehearsed and performed, trusted for its stability, simplicity and lasting reliability.
