The Manhasset Symphony music stand

The Symphony is the stand on which the Manhasset reputation was built. Stable with remarkably simple adjustments, it has been a trusted choice for schools, orchestras, concert halls and musicians around the world for generations.

A professional concert music stand, the Symphony combines a solid aluminium desk, heavy-gauge steel base and Manhasset's famous knob-free adjustment system. It is equally at home in a school music room, rehearsal space, orchestra pit or on the concert stage.

For anyone who needs a music stand to last even after years of consistent use, the Symphony has become an established standard. It is designed to be adjusted, moved, stored and used again and again, year after year.

Covered by the Manhasset Lifetime Warranty

Manhasset music stands are built for long-term use and are backed by a Lifetime Warranty. It is an important reassurance for schools, orchestras and musicians investing in equipment that may be used for many years.

The reason Manhasset can offer that reassurance is simple: These stands have been proven in music rooms and concert venues around the world for decades. Put simply, they do not break.

Warranty terms and conditions apply.

Equipping a school, orchestra or venue?

Look no further than the Symphony stand! Particularly well suited to schools, music services, orchestras and performance venues the Manhasset Symphony will perform day after day.

For larger requirements, the Symphony Stand box of 6 offers great value when purchasing multiple stands together. Storage carts for up to 13 stands and up to 25 stands are available for anyone looking for a practical way to store, move and manage a larger collection of stands.

Knob-free height adjustment

One of the defining features of the Symphony is Manhasset's knob-free adjustment system. The famous Magic Finger Clutch allows the stand to be raised or lowered simply by moving the desk into position, without needing to loosen or tighten an adjustment knob.

The friction-tilt neck works in the same way, allowing the angle of the desk to be changed quickly before holding it securely in place. For schools and ensembles where stands are regularly adjusted for different musicians, it makes setup considerably quicker and removes the knobs and fittings that are so often damaged or lost on conventional music stands.

Built for demanding everyday use

The Symphony combines a solid aluminium desk with a heavy-gauge welded steel base, providing the strength and stability required from a professional orchestral stand without making it unnecessarily heavy.

The desk is approximately 51 x 31.75cm with a generous 5.7cm deep ledge, providing plenty of space for scores, folders, choir books and larger music anthologies. It can support up to 4kg of music, making it suitable for considerably more than individual sheets.

Stable, but still easy to move

The Symphony is a concert music stand designed primarily for permanent and semi-permanent use rather than as a folding travel stand. Despite its substantial construction, it weighs only around 3.4kg and can easily be moved between classrooms, rehearsal rooms and performance spaces.

The desk can be tilted fully back to make the stand more compact when carrying or storing it. For musicians who need a stand specifically designed for regular travel, the Voyager stand is your best choice.

Definitely the best stand I've used. It's a 4 rather than 5 star because the one I bought (part of the latest batch from the US) emits a slight 'grinding' noise when you rotate the desk on the spindle.

Robust, very neat and professional looking, not rickety at all.

Well made and robust music stand. This was bought as a present and was much appreciated by the recipient.

Great Value for Money

Seems to be a robust well-engineered music stand with a decent warranty. Only reason I've not given 5 stars is that I haven't used it for more than a few days.

Excellent value - only concern is use of magnets during windy weather.

We love these stands, very easy to use even for the children!

These stands are fabulous, robust and yet still light due to the materials used. I would recommend to anyone who wants a non collapsable stand.

Good quality, no frills, robust but relatively light (circa 3-3. 5kg or 7-7. 7lbs in old terms) music stand. Holds heavy music books with ease and space to spare on its wide lip and doesn't topple when making notes. Easy to assemble - just 3 pieces. Easy to use - no undoing screws or turning knobs to adjust height or tilt - just raise lower or tilt with one hand (does what it says on the box). Excellent for long term home use with added aesthetic benefit that its simple clean design makes it unobtrusive in any setting. True, it does not fold up for ease of transportation, but that uncompromising design gives it its' great stability for 'in situ' use and it can happily survive being thrown into the back of a car and is still light enough to carry from boot to venue. Overall represents good value for money
