Unlike many portable music stands, the Voyager does not rely on a small folding or wire desk. Each stand uses the same full-size solid aluminium desk as the Symphony, measuring approximately 51 x 31.75cm with a generous 5.7cm deep ledge.

There is plenty of room for large scores, folders and music books, and each desk can support up to 4kg of music. It gives every musician the working space of a professional concert music stand without sacrificing portability.

Collapsible and easy to store

Each Voyager tripod base collapses into a compact shape for transport, while a simple twist-lock mechanism allows the desk to be detached from the stand in seconds.

That leaves just two main parts per stand to transport: the solid music desk and the folded base and shaft assembly. Dedicated Voyager carrying bags are also available separately, making the stands particularly practical for groups that regularly travel with their own equipment.

Knob-free height adjustment

Each Voyager retains Manhasset's famous knob-free adjustment system. The Magic Finger Clutch allows the desk to be raised or lowered simply by moving it into position, without needing to loosen or tighten an adjustment knob.

The friction-tilt neck allows the desk angle to be changed just as easily before holding it securely in place. The desk ledge adjusts from approximately 66 to 122cm above the floor, giving the Voyager the same versatile working height as the Symphony.

Care and maintenance

Often, yes. Replacement parts are available for many models, and worn cosmetic finishes can sometimes be carefully prepared and refinished. Avoid altering working mechanisms in a way that could affect safety or warranty coverage.

Wipe the desk, shaft and base with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry them. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents and products that could damage the powder-coated finish or enter the clutch mechanism.

No. Do not apply oil or lubricant to the height-adjustment shaft, as this can reduce the holding power of the friction-grip clutch.

Check the carton and packing materials carefully, as small fixings can remain inside. Contact the supplying retailer promptly with the model and order details if anything is missing.

The tapered nut inside the shaft may have become unseated during transport. Fully compress the shaft, remove the base bolt, firmly tap the chrome end on a hard surface to reseat the nut, then reassemble and tighten the bolt.

Do not add lubricant to the outside of the shaft. Follow the model-specific troubleshooting instructions or contact Manhasset UK for guidance.

Selected models are available in a range of powder-coated colours, although UK availability varies. Custom colours may also be possible for larger projects, subject to quantity and lead time.

Standard Manhasset stands are robust but still manageable to carry between rooms. They are not designed to fold as small as a wire stand, so the Voyager with a foldable base, is the better choice for frequent travel.

No. Under the manufacturer's current warranty, music stand carts are covered for 10 years and music accessories are generally covered for one year. Rechargeable LED lamps are also covered for one year, excluding normal battery-pack life.

Yes. Keep your order confirmation, invoice or receipt, as proof of purchase may be required to confirm the purchaser and purchase date.

Manhasset music stands purchased in 2012 or later are covered against defects in materials or workmanship for the lifetime of the original purchaser, subject to the manufacturer's warranty terms.
