Knob-free height adjustment

Like the Symphony, the Harmony uses Manhasset's famous knob-free adjustment system. The Magic Finger Clutch allows each stand to be raised or lowered simply by moving the desk into position, without needing to loosen or tighten an adjustment knob.

The friction-tilt neck allows the desk angle to be adjusted just as easily before holding it securely in place. For schools and ensembles where stands are regularly adjusted for different musicians, this makes setup considerably quicker and removes the knobs and fittings that are so often damaged or lost on conventional music stands.

Each Harmony stand uses the same solid aluminium desk and substantial construction as the Symphony, providing the strength and stability required from a professional concert music stand.

The desk measures approximately 51 x 31.75cm with a generous 5.7cm deep ledge, providing plenty of room for scores, folders, choir books and larger music anthologies. Each stand can support up to 4kg of music while remaining practical to move around a busy rehearsal or teaching space.

The Harmony and Symphony share the same desk, height adjustment and core construction. The important difference is the base. Choose the Harmony when efficient storage of multiple stands is a priority, or the Symphony when the traditional Manhasset tripod base is preferred.

Care and maintenance

Wipe the desk, shaft and base with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry them. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents and products that could damage the powder-coated finish or enter the clutch mechanism.

No. Do not apply oil or lubricant to the height-adjustment shaft, as this can reduce the holding power of the friction-grip clutch.

Check the carton and packing materials carefully, as small fixings can remain inside. Contact the supplying retailer promptly with the model and order details if anything is missing.

The tapered nut inside the shaft may have become unseated during transport. Fully compress the shaft, remove the base bolt, firmly tap the chrome end on a hard surface to reseat the nut, then reassemble and tighten the bolt.

Do not add lubricant to the outside of the shaft. Follow the model-specific troubleshooting instructions or contact Manhasset UK for guidance.

Selected models are available in a range of powder-coated colours, although UK availability varies. Custom colours may also be possible for larger projects, subject to quantity and lead time.
